About Us
Michael Cirillo, Ph.D.; ABPP-CN
Dr. Cirillo is the cofounder of Aracari Healing and a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist. For much of his career, he focused on conducting comprehensive assessments to help individuals gain deeper self-understanding. More recently, he earned a certificate in psychedelic-assisted therapies and research from the California Institute of Integral Studies, demonstrating his commitment to exploring innovative approaches to mental health and well-being.
Dr. Cirillo has a deep interest in the use of psychedelics for healing and personal growth. He is particularly passionate about the use of plant-based psychedelic medicines within Indigenous cultures, where they play a central role in life transitions, spiritual growth, and personal guidance. Dr. Cirillo also enjoys a regular meditation practice and believes strongly in the potential for individuals to break free from limiting thought patterns, allowing for growth, fulfillment, and a happier life.
Bertha-Elena Rojas, Psy.D.; M.Ed.
Dr. Rojas is the cofounder of Aracari Healing. She has 25 years of experience as a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist. Over the years, she has worked in community mental health, including clinical practice with individuals recovering from trauma. She also specializes in cultural and linguistic responsive assessments.
Dr. Rojas completed her certification in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She has been impassioned by the potential of psychedelic assisted psychotherapy as a pathway to promote psychological healing, meaningful interpersonal connections, and appreciation for the natural world. She has particular interest in assisting the healing of individuals from diverse backgrounds with experiences of trauma, including the impact of generational trauma. Dr. Rojas is a long-term mindfulness practitioner. She is invested in relational mindfulness approaches and in facilitating group dynamics that promote collective healing.
